Holly-Hunter
Holly Hunter (born Holly Hunter) is an American actor and producer. She has been recognized for her exceptional performance in movies such as Broadcast News The Firm The Piano and The Incredibles. The actress has received numerous awards for her work which includes an Oscar. The talented actress began her acting career by performing on stage, through a variety of Broadway and Off-Broadway projects. When she was a kid, Helen Keller was her favourite character in a fifth class production. Following a bout of mumps, she became deaf in one of the sides of her ear. However, this was not enough to stop her desire to become an actor. In her early years, she took classes in drama at the college level and then moved to New York City from Pittsburgh so that she could follow her dreams. In a chance encounter she got trapped in an elevator along with playwright Beth Henley and the two joined forces to create the Broadway Crimes of the Heart and made Hunter's debut. When she moved to Los Angeles, Hunter tried to get film roles. A supporting role was secured for her in Swing Shift. She has since appeared in numerous films, TV series and movies over the course of a 30-year career. Holly Hunter won a star at the Hollywood Walk of Fame, as well as her Women in Film Lucy Award.
